Message "XS Engineering RB26 Throttle Body Seal Set: The factory Nissan seals are getting pretty old right about now. If your car is a 1991 model BNR32, then the factory throttle seals are pushing 20 years old. A cast iron straight 6 engine with twin turbos under the hood has pretty high under hood temperatures. After 20 years of use and abuse, this translates into dried out rubber seals and gaskets. The problem is that Nissan does not sell replacement seals so you can either buy a new throttle body or you are shit out of luck. Back when Koji and I were at XS, when we cranked up the boost on some cars, the factory throttle seals would literally get spit out of the throttle body housing and there would be massive vacuum leaks. Between the old and dry seal problem and the lack of high boost sealing, we had to do something about it. Some people use single throttles which is fine, but that can get expensive. XS developed these throttle shaft seals to be a hair tighter on the throttle shaft and to have another .0005" of interference fit on the OD of the seal. This translates into a super reliable throttle shaft seal that can handle high boost pressures for many years to come. At only $110/set, it's ultra cheap insurance to make sure vacuum/boost leaks don't plague your build."
